One of the wealthy Alexander brothers, with ties to Miami Beach and New York’s real estate and social scenes, will remain behind bars as he faces a federal sex crimes case, a judge ruled.

The brothers were charged in New York with luring, drugging and violently raping dozens of women over more than a decade.

Mr. Alexander’s brother, Oren Alexander, was granted a hearing extension by a judge in Miami. A third brother, Tal Alexander, was denied bail on related charges in December.

A pre-trial detention hearing took place at the Miami federal courthouse Monday for Alon Alexander, the brother of two real estate moguls charged with federal sex crimes.

His brother Oren Alexander, who faces similar charges, had his federal bond hearing postponed until next week.

Prominent real estate broker Oren Alexander will have to wait until next week to see if he'll be allowed to leave jail, while his twin brother was denied bond during a hearing in federal court in Miami on Friday.
