The Arizona Diamondbacks have lots of decisions to make over the next two weeks regarding who to trade and who to hold on to as the trade deadline approaches.

Their top pick, prep shortstop Kayson Cunningham, fits the archetype of several who have come before him. He is left-handed and athletic. He makes a lot of contact, plays an up-the-middle position and runs well. And, of course, he is undersized. The same could be said of Corbin Carroll, Alek Thomas and Slade Caldwell in their draft years.

FanSided’s Christopher Kline listed three trade ideas that would make the Cubs trade deadline winners, with the No.1 player being a two-time All-Star third baseman. Arizona Diamondbacks slugger Eugenio Suárez would be a tremendous addition to the Cubs’ lineup for the second half.

Regarding Minnesota Twins center fielder Byron Buxton, Heyman reported that there's "no chance" that he gets moved before the trade deadline. Buxton declared to Heyman, "I'm a Twin for life," so it doesn't appear likely that he would be willing to waive his no-trade clause anytime soon.
