Arvind Kejriwal was attacked by a man who splashed some suspicious liquid on him when during a ‘padyatra’ in south Delhi's Greater Kailash. The incident took place on Saturday evening. The accused was detained by Kejriwal's security staff immediately after he wad manhandled by his workers and supports.

Delhi minister Saurabh Bharadwaj has alleged that the man held for attacking Kejriwal “wanted to set him afire after throwing spirit" on him.

As per the police, the AAP Chief was shaking hands with the public when a person namely Ashok Jha attempted to throw "water" on Arvind Kejriwal, but he was immediately caught as the police staff was nearby along with ropes.
