Beyoncé kicked off her "Cowboy Carter" tour in Los Angeles, and it is a bold blend of country music, political symbolism and cultural reclamation.

Beyoncé soared across SoFi Stadium in a giant neon horseshoe, and then again in a red convertible Cadillac. She mounted and rode a gleaming, mechanical golden bull - all the while belting tunes from Cowboy Carter and her decades-spanning discography.

Beyoncé kicked off her Cowboy Carter Tour on Monday, April 28, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles by including a rare video of her 7-year-old son, Sir, in her performance.
