In Ennis, a boil water notice will continue tomorrow for the fifth straight day after officials say testing still hasn’t cleared their system as totally safe. Ennis schools have been closed since Monday and classes are canceled Thursday as well while the district awaits the all-clear.

Ennis ISD announced that school will be canceled again Wednesday because the city remains under a days-long boil water notice.

The city said lab results Tuesday showed the water was safe. However, the water pressure dropped below safe standards. They will have to send in another sample before rescinding the boil water notice.

The city says water pressure is restored citywide after multiple main breaks on Saturday night, but concerns of bacterial contamination persist.

Ennis ISD canceled classes for students and staff on Monday. On social media, the school district said it will continue to monitor the situation.
