A “revival” in Chinese demand for gold and central-bank purchases are likely to lead gold prices a bit higher next year despite expectations for a stronger dollar and rise in Treasury yields, according to Capital Economics.

Vietnam gold bar price dropped 0.58% to VND85.3 million (US$3,360.25) per tael Monday morning as global rates fell.

Gold prices gained about 1% on Friday, supported by a weaker greenback and geopolitical woes, but were on course for their worst monthly performance since September 2023 due to a dollar rally this month following Donald Trump's U.

The price of gold in Pakistan fell by Rs1,700 per tola on Monday, following a decrease in international gold rates. The decline was attributed to a drop of $17 in the price of gold per ounce in the global bullion market, which is now trading at $2,633 per ounce.

Gold remains on pace for its worst monthly performance in over a year despite rising for a fourth straight day, as the metal continues to recover from its heavy losses during the selloff driven by Donald Trump’s election win.

Gold prices have been witnessing an uptick in the last few days but the Bullion has declined 3 per cent so far in November.
