The first plowable snow fell over much of Maine on Thanksgiving. That ranges from more than 10 inches in the mountains to just an inch along the Down East coast, according to preliminary snowfall reports compiled by the National Weather Service offices in Caribou and Gray.

By noontime, look for heavy rain in southern NH and beginning in southern Maine. Heavy snow is moving into the foothills of western Maine where temperatures are closer to that freezing mark. A defined rain-snow line will build and set-up on the west side of the I-95 corridor. Between 1PM and 8PM will be our worst travel times.
