Washington — The House Ethics Committee, meeting to consider the release of a report on its investigation into former Rep. Matt Gaetz, did not reach an agreement on Wednesday afternoon, the committee chairman said.

Senators might demand it before confirming him as Attorney General.

After the Ethics Committee met Wednesday, a Democrat moved to force a full House vote on whether to release the report. That could happen in the coming days.
