Tyron Smith has signed a ceremonial contract allowing the standout left tackle to retire with the Dallas Cowboys.

FRISCO, Texas -- Eight-time Pro Bowl left tackle Tyron Smith knew in his gut that the Dallas Cowboys were home when he arrived on his pre-draft visit 14 years ago back in 2011 before going ninth overall in the draft out of USC.

Tyron Smith was 20 years old when he was drafted into the first round by the Dallas Cowboys in 2011. Now 34, Smith retired as a Cowboy on Wednesday, signing a one-year deal to make it official after spending last season with the New York Jets.
