I'm having a problem getting DNS working within a native 2000 environment. DNS will not pass a query or a recursive query against the DNS server. I opened ports 42 and 51 on my router without success.

So I am stumbling a little here. I have a Synology DS 1515+ I want to use as local DNS then forward out for other queries. Seems pretty straight forward setup. But doesn't seem to work like I thought.
