The National Hurricane Center has raised the odds that a tropical depression could form in the Gulf soon. And forecasters said those in south Alabama should keep an eye on its progress. The system as of Saturday afternoon has a 40 percent probability of becoming a tropical depression in the next seven days. That’s up from 30 percent on Friday.
