On Thursday, the Lady Volunteers bounced back after a horrible loss to South Carolina as they beat Missouri 98-53. Then on Sunday, Tennessee hung in there and fell in a heartbreaker to No. 4 Texas, 65-63. So despite the loss, the Lady Volunteers still move up in the poll.

Former Lady Vols coach Kellie Harper is returning to Knoxville as Missouri coach for first time since she was fired from Tennessee in 2024.

Tennessee softball crushed UCLA 11-0 in a run-rule win on Feb. 14, dominating the rematch from the 2025 Women's College World series.

No. 4 Texas (24-3, 9-3 SEC) defeated No. 22 Tennessee (16-7, 8-3 SEC), 65-63, Sunday at Food City Center. The game was tied, 34-34, at halftime.
