Arsenal have agreed a fee of close to £68 million ($92m) with Crystal Palace for midfielder Eberechi Eze, sources have told ESPN.

The Gunners, who have been linked with Eze for most of the summer, are reportedly willing to allow Eze to play in that important match for Palace and have seemingly pulled ahead in the race to sign him as a result. Eze’s ties to Arsenal — he was a childhood supporter and spent time in the academy — probably doesn’t hurt, either.
The deal is worth in the region of the expired £68m release clause, matching level of fee Tottenham Hotspur were prepared to pay.
