Memphis basketball moved into the USA TODAY Coaches and AP Top 25 polls Monday after its run to the Maui Invitational championship game.

Back-to-back NCAA Tournament champion UConn narrowly avoided falling out of the AP Top 25 college basketball poll entirely on Monday after an 0-3 week at the Maui Invitational in which it lost to three unranked teams in as many days.

It was the second time in AP poll history, according to ESPN Stats & Information, that AP-Top 5 teams lost at least five games in a calendar week in November (following Nov. 21-27 in 2021). Look at the rest of last week's AP Top 25 and there were more upsets and surprise results.
