According to the report, 190 children under the age of 18 died in Cuyahoga County in 2023. The 10-year average is 174. The attribute the increase specifically to infant mortality and child homicides, said Shawna Rohrman with the Cuyahoga County Office of Early Childhood. Of the 190 deaths, 112 were infants, according to the report.
