Find the dark and gather your wishes, my babies: the annual Geminid meteor shower is upon us. The Geminids are the best and most reliable of the annual meteor showers — but this year, the burgeoning full moon in Gemini could interfere with optimal viewing.

There are three meteor showers left this year. Geminids will peak Dec. 13 and 14, producing up to 150 meteors per hour.

The Geminid meteor shower will light up the skies with shooting stars this weekend. It ties with the August Perseids as the most prolific of the year.
