Five Republican governors have now deployed National Guard soldiers to Washington, D.C., following President Donald Trump's request to send troops.

Three more Republican governors authorized the deployment of National Guard troops to Washington on Monday, part of President Donald Trump’s escalating show of force that he says is designed to crack down on crime and boost immigration enforcement in the nation’s capital.

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves announced 200 National Guard troops will be deployed to Washington, D.C., in support of President Trump’s federal orders.

The president said he would "end mail-in voting." In Washington it's been both popular and successful, with high voter turnouts and satisfied voters.
