John Mara and Steve Tisch have been in control of the Giants organization since 2005. The Mara family has held an ownership stake in the franchise since its creation in 1925. Timothy Mara was the founding owner. Since 1991, the team has been split 50-50 between the Mara and Tisch families.

Eli Manning is looking to lead an investment group to purchase a stake in his former team, the New York Giants, per Gillian Tan and Randall Williams of Bloomberg. Last February, Ben Fischer of Sports Business Journal reported that the Giants were looking to sell up to 10 percent of the team.

Eli Manning is already enshrined in Giants history for his legendary playing career, and now he has his sights set on owning a part of the franchise.
