A 37-year-old man has died after falling from a chairlift that was having a mechanical problem at a Montana ski area.

LiftBlog has confirmed that the Triple Chair does not have a safety restraint bar. The chair was built in 1983 and will remain closed while under investigation following the accident. The ski area's old Miami Beach Chair (as seen in the featured image above) did not have a safety bar either.
