For this first weekend of the tournament, Providence hosts three Hall of Fame coaches in Rick Pitino at St John’s, Bill Self at Kansas, and John Calipari at Arkansas. Can St. John’s make the Final Four?

A handful of first and second round games of the 2025 men’s NCAA tournament are taking place in Providence this year.

All eyes are on Providence as several of the league’s top teams and legendary coaches arrive in Rhode Island for Rounds 1 & 2 of the NCAA DI Men’s Basketball Championship at the Amica Mutual Pavilion (AMP).

Jonas Aidoo continued his recent hot streak with a game-high 22 points, five rebounds, three blocks and three steals. He was one of four Hogs to score in double digits. Fellow big man Trevon Brazille recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Bill Self spoke to the media after a practice in Lawrence, then a long flight to Providence. KU will meet Arkansas in the first round Thursday.
