The New York Jets announced last week that they completed a virtual interview with Denver Broncos defensive backs coach Jim Leonhard for their defensive coordinator opening. Leonhard also had an interview with the Dallas Cowboys, and more interviews are likely on the way following the AFC Championship game.

The NFL's conference championship games feature both No. 1 seeds, two division rivals and a backup quarterback making his first start of the season.

Going into the NFL's conference championship weekend, the Denver Broncos have a -2.0 Football Power Index (FPI) rating from ESPN, which ranks last among the four remaining playoff teams. FPI is "a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season," according to ESPN.com.

The Broncos scored 10 points over the final 30 seconds of the first half, marking the first time since the 1993 season that a team scored that many points to end a first half. The scoring spree for the Broncos started when Bo Nix hit Lil'Jordan Humphrey for a 29-yard touchdown pass with just 22 seconds left to play in the first half.

The Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) just announced their All-NFL (and All-AFC and All-NFC) teams for the 2025 season, and Denver boasts a league-high four players on the All-NFL team. Left tackle Garett Bolles, right guard Quinn Meinerz, special teams ace Devon Key and pass rusher Nik Bonitto headline the All-NFL team.

The No. 1 seed Denver Broncos host the No. 2 seed New England Patriots — a rematch of the 2015 AFC title game. The Broncos will be without several starters for the game, including quarterback Bo Nix,
