An elderly man whose body was discovered after his home burned Wednesday was said by his Laurel Canyon neighbors to have had a classic car collection.

A man identified by neighbors as a member of the wealthy Rothschild family died in a house fire in the Hollywood Hills.

An heir to the prominent Rothschild family has died after a house fire broke out at the Laurel Canyon house. William Rothschild's body was found in the $1 million home in Los Angeles on Friday. Fire crews discovered a man’s body inside the Hollywood Hills home after they were called to battle the blaze just after 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

After extinguishing the flames, the firefighters found a dead man inside. The man's cause of death is being reviewed.
