The 23-year-old driver involved in a single-car crash that forced the closure of Route 128 North near the Wenham/Beverly line on Wednesday afternoon has died. The Essex County DA's Office confirmed that the 23-year-old man was pronounced dead at Beverly Hospital after Wenham and Beverly fire crews worked to extricate him from being trapped in the crashed car near Grapevine Road.
