The Trump administration violated federal privacy laws when it turned over Medicaid data on millions of enrollees to deportation officials last month, California Attorney General Rob Bonta alleged on Tuesday,

The Trump administration has released $175 million in previously frozen federal funding to the University of Pennsylvania, a White House official told CNN on Wednesday, following an agreement on how the university would handle transgender athletes.

The University of Pennsylvania has agreed with the Trump administration to disavow and apologize for having allowed transgender women to compete in female-only sports under past National Collegiate Athletic Association rules and to erase any athletic records and titles they earned.

The University of Pennsylvania reached a deal with the Trump administration on women’s sports after a federal probe found violations of sex-discrimination laws following a trans athlete’s participation on the school’s women’s swim team.

The Trump administration asked the court for an immediate order to allow the firings to go forward, over the objections of lawyers for the commissioners.

The decisions so far show that the conservative court isn’t going to act as a resistance to an increasingly autocratic president.
