One of the popular topics of conversation over the past few days has centered around the Philadelphia Eagles and their signature "tush push" play. The Green Bay Packers have already confirmed that they made a proposal to ban the play from the NFL.

One team will attempt to get it banned this offseason, as the Green Bay Packers reportedly are the team that proposed to the NFL competition committee to ban the "Tush Push.

The Philadelphia Eagles run the "Tush Push" essentially better than anyone, and run this version of the quarterback sneak the most in the league. The reason they run it so well isn't because it's automatic, which is why head coach Nick Sirianni defended the play on Tuesday amidst its detractors.

One NFL team is proposing an end to the tush push play the Philadelphia Eagles have used so successfully at the goal line and in short-yardage situations, including during their victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59.

That's because NFL executive of football operations Troy Vincent told the NFL Network on Monday that one unidentified team has submitted a proposal to ban the play known as the “Tush Push ," the Eagles' highly-successful short yardage play in which two players push quarterback Jalen Hurts from behind as he attempts a QB sneak.

Banning the tush push has been a topic of conversation around the NFL Scouting Combine this week and the idea has found some fans, but, as you'd imagine, Nick Sirianni is not one of them. The Eagles coach was asked about the calls to take a play that his team has mastered out of the game at a Tuesday press conference from the Scouting Combine and scoffed at the notion that it's an "automatic play" because of the players pushing quarterback Jalen Hurts from behind in short yardage.
