Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving is exploring a dramatic move to represent Australia, the country of his birth, in international competition, despite having won gold with Team USA at the Rio Olympics in 2016.

Shortly after last weekend’s All-Star Game in San Francisco, the Mavericks guard was asked if he would consider representing Australia at the 2028 Olympic Games. Based on his answer, Irving seems optimistic about suiting up for the Boomers in the future.
