DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israel’s defense minister on Wednesday ordered all remaining Palestinians to leave Gaza City, saying it was their “last opportunity” and that anyone who stayed would be considered a terrorist supporter and face the “full force” of Israel’s latest offensive.
The offensive expanded the same day that independent U.N. experts accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza.

Israel says it will return to ceasefire after carrying out attacks on Gaza's southern city of Rafah
Israel announced it has begun "reinforcing" the ceasefire in Gaza hours after conducting deadly strikes in the city of Rafah. The attacks mark the first airstrikes Israel have launched since a US-brokered truce came into force late last week.
Israel has ordered all residents of Gaza City to leave to make way for an expanded ground operation. Anyone who does not leave will be treated as a Hamas member or sympathizer.
Around 400,000 Palestinians have fled famine-stricken Gaza City since Israel launched a major offensive last month aimed at occupying it.
Hamas has said the return of the remaining bodies "may take some time" due to the destruction. Vice President JD Vance and second lady Usha Vance will "depart shortly for Israel," according to a spokesman for Vance.
