French authorities say an incendiary device has exploded outside the Russian Consulate in Marseille on the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Russia on Monday demanded a full French investigation into an explosion at its consulate in Marseille which it said looked like an act of terrorism, state news agency TASS said.

Three projectiles were thrown over the perimeter wall of Russia's consulate in the southern French port city of Marseille on Monday, two of which exploded, Marseille police said.
