Late in the third period, after the Jets pulled Comrie for the extra attacker, Vilardi tipped a Kyle Connor shot from the point after Cole Perfetti collected a puck in the corner and sailed to the blue line. Connor avoided Blues forward Radek Faksa in getting the shot towards the net, allowing Vilardi to deflect it past Hofer.
