Stolarz made an incredible save in overtime on Mason Lohrei before the Leafs took off and Mitch Marner scored on a breakaway to win the game. The win was his third straight, and his second since his return from the 4 Nations break.
Stolarz was the first goaltender off the ice at practice and will defend the home net versus Carolina on Saturday, per Mark Masters of TSN. Stolarz returned to action Feb. 4, missing 24 games due to a knee injury and subsequent surgery.
Stolarz bent, but didn't break -- the Canes recorded three goals in a 2:41 span late in the third to pull to within one goal before the Leafs delivered two empty-net goals. It was Stolarz's second game and second win since his return from injury.

Matthews’ goal was the 389th of his career, bringing him into a tie for second on the Leafs franchise list with Darryl Sittler. Matthews has played in 603 games; Sittler skated in 844 for Toronto. Mats Sundin holds the franchise record with 420 goals, a mark that Matthews is bound to break early next season.
