The Boston Celtics (41-16) knocked off the New York Knicks (37-20) 118-105 on Sunday, February 23, led by Boston’s usual suspects. Jayson Tatum led the team with 25 points while grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out nine assists,
So until further notice, the Knicks can’t be classified as contenders. They’re too far below the Celtics and Cavaliers to be taken seriously. Sunday was just the latest example. In three games against Boston, they’ve been outscored by 63 points and struggle to defend the 3-point line.
New York is 0-2 against the Celtics this season, who earned a 132-109 home victory on opening night and prevailed 131-104 at New York on Feb. 8.
