Florida Panthers Head Coach had an update on Monday regarding the health status of forward Matthew Tkachuk. It was just over a week ago when Tkachuk suffered an apparent groin injury during the 4 Nations Faceoff.

Florida Panthers head coach Paul Maurice announced Monday that star winger Matthew Tkachuk is still being evaluated for the lower-body injury he sustained at the 4 Nations Face-Off but quelled speculation Tkachuk could miss the rest of the season.

Florida Panthers superstar Matthew Tkachuk will not play on Saturday night when they host the Seattle Kraken in their return from the 4 Nations Face-Off break.

The Seattle Kraken continue their road trip with a battle against the Tampa Bay Lightning and will do so with Ales Stezka in between the pipes.

Even though Team USA failed to complete their mission to win the 4 Nations Face-Off, Brady Tkachuk still came away with lots of memories he’ll treasure for the rest of his life. Not only was he able to don his country’s colors, but he also got to play alongside his brother and Florida Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk.
