After initially getting snubbed for the NBA All-Star Game, Kyrie Irving has now been tabbed as a replacement. The West Orange, N.J. native was selected by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to replace his injured Dallas Mavericks’ teammate Anthony Davis in Sunday night’s game at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The NBA announced Monday that Irving will replace newly-acquired teammate Anthony Davis at the 2025 All-Star Game, which is being hosted by the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco. Davis is out for "multiple weeks" with a left adductor strain, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
