It's the second time around at the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas for Notre Dame basketball, which could use a Thanksgiving week win in Sin City.

Notre Dame star Hannah Hidalgo hit the go-ahead jumper with two seconds left on Friday to lift the Irish past No. 11 USC.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Jeremiyah Love bolstered his Heisman Trophy candidacy with 171 yards rushing and three touchdowns on just eight carries, and No. 9 Notre Dame blew out injury-decimated Syracuse 70-7 on Saturday.

No. 11 USC entered Friday’s contest against No. 24 Notre Dame as the favorites, but the Fighting Irish protected homecourt, winning 61-59. It was a close game throughout, with eight lead changes and nine ties. Down the stretch, Notre Dame—and specifically Hannah Hidalgo—were too much for USC to handle.
