My Chemical Romance spoke out after former drummer Bob Bryar died at 44 years old. “The band asks for your patience and understanding as they process the news of Bob’s passing,” a spokesperson for the band said in a statement to Variety on Sunday. The Post has reached out to a rep for the rock group.

Mr. Bryar joined the band in 2004 and played drums on the pop-punk band’s most popular record. He left the band in 2010.

My Chemical Romance once consisted of six members: lead singer Gerard Way, lead guitarist Ray Toro, rhythm guitarist Frank Iero, lead bassist Mikey Way, touring keyboardist James Dewees and drummer Bob Bryar.
