Last week, Nissan announced that the redesigned, next-generation 2026 Nissan Leaf will be priced to start at $29,990, nearly $3,000 less than the price of the first-generation Leaf when it was introduced in 2011.

The SV Plus trim of the new EV is $1,960 cheaper than the outgoing model year version. All Leaf trims except the S feature a 75 kWh battery paired with a 215 hp motor setup.

The new 2026 Nissan LEAF will arrive at US dealerships any day now. And it’s even cheaper than the OG model launched in 2011. With prices starting under $30,000, Nissan says the new LEAF will be the most affordable EV in the US. And it’s bringing more range, faster charging, and plenty of other upgrades.
