An Oakesdale couple's home, which was just set on its foundation, was damaged by flooding as heavy rain and significant snowmelt hits the region.

A series of storm systems fueled by an atmospheric river brought flash flooding to the Pacific Northwest this weekend -- and more rain is on the way.

Areas of the Inland Northwest were significantly flooded Sunday evening and Monday morning, leading to multiple road closures and forcing maintenance crews to pump water from covered highways.

The Washington State Department of Transportation has closed several highways due to flooding, snow slides and mudslides.
