It was a bit of a surprise, as many expected them to select pitcher Kade Anderson of LSU, but it's another pick that gives hope to a Nationals franchise that is currently in last place in the National League East.

Emmaus High grad Wyatt Henseler was picked by the Washington Nationals in the ninth round of Monday’s MLB Draft. He was the No. 261 pick overall.

Jack Moroknek, a Butler outfielder, was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 11th round (321st overall) of the 2025 MLB Draft.
