Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin announced a lawsuit Wednesday morning against General Motors and OnStar. Griffin said the lawsuit alleges violations under the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

The attorney general of Arkansas sued General Motors Co. and its subsidiary OnStar LLC, alleging deceptive practices related to collecting and selling drivers’ data to third-party data brokers.
