The home of a Jewish member of the University of Michigan’s Board of Regents was vandalized early Monday, in what the university described as “a clear act of antisemitic intimidation.”

The attack marks the third time Jordan Acker has been targeted since Hamas’s October 7 massacre of Israeli citizens last year.

The home of University of Michigan Regent Jordan Acker was damaged by vandals Monday in an act the public institution described as “abhorrent” and “antisemitic.” It is the second vandalism targeting Acker, who is Jewish, since June.

The regent, who is Jewish, had two jars thrown through his window, as well as his family car spray-painted with Pro-Palestinian messages.

UM Regent Jordan Acker said his Huntington Woods home and his wife's vehicle were both vandalized. Someone threw a mason jar through one of his home's windows and spray-painted the words "Divest and Free Palestine" on an SUV, said Acker, who is Jewish.

For the third time this year, vandals have targeted University of Michigan regent Jordan Acker. In a social media post, Acker, his wife and their three children were asleep at their home early Monday morning when they heard two objects crash through a window.
