Penn State veteran Audavion Collins, a key player in the team’s 2025 cornerback rotation, has announced he will return to the Nittany Lions’ program in 2026. Collins, who has one season of eligibility left, transferred to Penn State in 2023 after beginning his career at Mississippi State in 2022. He redshirted his first season.

Pittsburgh Steelers assistant secondary coach Anthony Midget is set to move on and head to Blacksburg, Virginia, to join James Franklin’s coaching staff, according to Kolby Crawford of 247Sports. Midget was an All-American defensive back at Virginia Tech, and he now goes back to his alma mater to become their cornerbacks coach.

According to multiple reports, the first by Jon Sauber of the Centre Daily Times, Campbell is set to hire Lynn as his defensive coordinator at Penn State. Lynn would be the first major outside hire for Campbell, who has brought five assistants with him from Iowa State.

Special teams coordinator Justin Lustig is staying at Penn State. The news was first reported on Tuesday by Daniel Gallen with 247 Sports. Lustig joined Penn State before the 2024 season, coming to Happy Valley from Vanderbilt.
