Several Indian passengers travelling from Mumbai to Manchester were left stranded at Kuwait Airport for over 13 hours after their flight made an emergency landing. Some passengers alleged they were not given proper accommodation or food during the wait.

The Indian embassy clarified that Indians do not have visa on arrival facility in Kuwait and that all government offices are closed due to the GCC Summit

According to the Embassy in Kuwait, the flight departed from Kuwait International Airport at 4.30 AM local time. The embassy confirmed the news on X (formerly Twitter).

The Gulf Air flight GF5, traveling from Bahrain to Manchester, was diverted to Kuwait due to a technical issue. The flight, which departed Bahrain at 2:05 AM local time on December 1, was forced to land in Kuwait at 4:01 AM,

Around 60 passengers of a flight from Mumbai to Manchester,  were stranded at Kuwait airport for over 24 hours and complained of several problems including the lack of food and help. Most of these passengers were Indian and claimed that there was discrimination in the airline's response to their situation and they handled the situation poorly.

The passengers were travelling in a Gulf Air flight which was diverted to Kuwait, where they were left stranded for 13 hours. They were able to depart only after the Indian Embassy intervened

A Gulf Air flight carrying Indian passengers stranded in Kuwait for over 13 hours departed for Manchester on Monday. Stranded passengers accused the airline of neglect, alleging a lack of food and assistance.

The Gulf Air flight departed with the grounded passengers at 04:34 am (local time) on December 2 from Kuwait, according to a statement by India Embassy in Kuwait.

Several Indian passengers are stranded at Kuwait Airport after their Gulf Air Bahrain-Manchester flight was diverted due to a technical issue. Indians, not eligible for visa on arrival in Kuwait, are stuck at the airport while other nationals have left.

The Indian embassy in Kuwait said on Sunday in a post on X that they immediately took up the matter with Gulf Air and also clarified the visa rule in Kuwait for Indians.
