Phoenix police were involved in a deadly shooting around 4 a.m. Tuesday morning near 19th and Northern avenues.
According to police, officers arrived, and the man was outside holding a hatchet. Police told the man to drop the hatchet, but he reportedly began walking toward them. One officer deployed a less-lethal weapon, but police say the suspect kept advancing.
The shooting happened after police responded to a report of trespassing at the restaurant early Aug. 19, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A boy is dead after a car hit him while he was walking with his mother in east Phoenix on Monday night. It happened just after 8 p.m. near 36th Street and McDowell Road. When officers got to the scene, the victim was unconscious and in critical condition. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
