ARLINGTON, Va. − Crews returned to the Potomac River and forged ahead with a massive salvage effort on Wednesday, one week after a horrifying midair crash that killed all 67 people aboard a passenger jet and Army Black Hawk helicopter.

The pieces of wreckage recovered Tuesday were lifted by a crane and placed onto a barge with other parts recovered from the flight that took off from Wichita, Kansas, for Washington's Reagan National Airport with 60 passengers and four crew members on board. One of the pieces recovered earlier in the day showed a portion of the American Eagle logo.

Authorities recovered all of the 67 victims from the Potomac River less than a week after an American Airlines flight collided with an Army Black Hawk helicopter in the Washington, D.C., area.
