Former Washington, USC and San Diego State assistant men's basketball coach Tony Bland has officially been named an assistant coach on Bill Self's Kansas Jayhawks coaching staff. Self made the announcement Wednesday.

Veteran assistant coach Tony Bland, who was one of four Black coaches implicated in a 2017 FBI inquiry into bribery and player influence, will be joining the Kansas Jayhawks staff, a source told ESPN's Pete Thamel Tuesday.
