"Ticked one off the bucket list - and this was one of the meanest. A fast moving glacier that’s accessible only by helicopter, hiking the Franz Josef Glacier took me everything I could muster that day, a tender ankle coupled with fatigue from a cross country drive the previous day and a weather scare which meant a potential overnight stay on the glacier.
