CNN’s Clarissa Ward gains extraordinary access to the epicenter of a deadly outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where doctors work around the clock and grief, fear and fragile hope collide inside a hospital struggling to contain the virus.

The new Ebola outbreak in Congo and Uganda has been declared a global health emergency. More than 300 suspected cases and 88 suspected deaths have been reported so far, with the CDC saying the risk to the American public right now is low.

A Kenyan court on Friday temporarily blocked the U.S. from setting up an Ebola quarantine facility on an air base there for American citizens exposed to or infected by the virus.
