It's Himalayan! A royal purple crown of crystals from an exotic location. This unique cluster exhibits multiple determinations of a triangular nature. Amethyst is composed of silicon and oxygen, like quartz, but interestingly it gets its purple colour from trace amounts of iron which is not simply an inclusion but replaces some of the silicon atoms!
